General Rules and Information

Hi people! We are a community interested in WoW and other MMORPG games. Our main purpose is to develop a universal MMORPG server, search for bugs and repair them.

• Supported clients: WoW:WotLK 3.2.2a en(US and GB)
• Realmlist file content:set realmlist realmlist.spermik.info
• Website address: wow.spermik.info
• Account and it's contents are the sole possession of Spermik & is only on loan to the creator (player) of the Account. Spermik reserves the right to claim back any account at any given time.
• Spoken language: English on public channels (like world), forum and shoutboard. Questions in other languages will not be answered.
• In game channels:
  • Main channel is world, there are some other national channels like czech.(Type /join world and press enter.)
  • If you want to sell something use the WorldTrade channel, or post it at the auction straight away. Advertising your wares is no longer allowed on the world channel.
  • If you are looking for a group or more members, use the LFMHorde or LFMAlliance channel. It is also no longer allowed to use the world channel for this.
  • If you want to organize a battleground, use the worldbg channel.
  • These are our official channels on this server and should be open for everyone. Therefore, we only accept English and bypassing the adult language filter or using excessive rude language is not allowed there.
  • As on world, on the standard WoW channels, excessive rude language and bypassing the adult language filter are forbidden and will be punished. Other languages, however, are still allowed.

Player's codex

• The only official language on Spermik is English. So if you are reporting bugs or requesting assistance, you must use English.
• You are obliged to respect the GMs and Admins as the highest authority and to obey the resolution of a GM.
• Not knowing the rules is no excuse.
• Admins can banish anybody from the server without telling the reason.
• It's not allowed to swear or use adult language on public channels (like world, general, lfm and forums). Also it's not allowed to post images which are rude, obscene, racist and inappropriate for children. Breaking this rule will be punished by mute or ban.
• Do not ask a GM for levels, talents, gold, items or for teleporting when you are too lazy to go by foot.
• You can ask GM for missing quests, missing quest items.. But not for other items, like gear and others. The major bugs have precedence.
• We don't exchange and/or make a new character for new players on this server! Neither do we change race, class or name of the characters.
• Do not waste a GMs' time asking questions which can be answered by other players or found on the Internet. Like where is the nearest class trainer, item drop, NPC etc.
• Do not exploit bugs(!!) and if you encounter any bug yourself, report it to a GM. (use Shoutboard, in-game chat or Forum)
• Do not exploit bugged quest items, such as items you can summon etc.
• If you find a bugged spell, then do not take advantage of this! Examples are found one paragraph lower. If you use these in PvP, you may expect that people will screenshot it and post it on the forum!
• Do not use any hacks, exploits and other cheats.
• Do not advertise other servers or any website.
• If you are stuck (like falling through the floor), do not JUMP !! use .start to get out of there ! If you press 'Space button' just once, you won't be able to .start anymore!
• If you find yourself doing something, which causes crashes (like we had this problem with Hunter taming Quest), please stop doing so and report this to a GM.
• Players are not allowed to impersonate GMs or Admins nor are they allowed to use names similar to GM's or Admin's.
• All instances that were introduced by WotLK are strictly off-limits. Ignoring this will be treated as a heavy kind of bug-abuse. Exceptions are listed below.
• It is not allowed to do multiboxing on this server! Breaching this rule will be treated as heavy infraction and will be punished !
• Outland & Northrend level restriction
  • Outland is only for characters with 58 and higher level
  • Northrend is only for characters with 68 level and above. Those not respecting this rule will be punished.
  • Harvesting on mobs, that are far higher level than you with help of other mobs with hostile factions(mobs that kill other mobs) will not be tolerated. It will be treated as bug abusing.
• Those who will disobey these rules will be punished.
  • You can be kicked from the game.
  • Your character can be punished by lowering its lvl or be deleted.
  • You can be banned - for few hours, week, month, lifetime.
• Respect each other, respect GM's and enjoy playing !

Known bugged spells

• Paladin: Consecration (in neutral towns to not be attacked by guards).
• Druid: Dash in other forms than Cat form.
• Priest: Mind Flay to attack players of the same faction.
• Mage: Invisibility. It is not allowed to use any skills while under its effects.
• Hunter: Having a "Tallstrider" or "Ravager" pet. Because of their spell bugs it will be considered an abuse to even have it.
• Hunter: Using your pet to attack people on flying mounts. Common sense should tell you NOT to do it anyway.
• Engineering trinkets that spawn mobs, like Explosive Sheep or Target Dummy, that cannot be attacked by enemy players.
• Shaman's talent Imrpoved Firenova Totem - This talent makes all your spells able to stun. Avoid this talent.
• Shaman's: Hex, bugged, doesn't break anymore on hit so please do not use in PvP.

Using bugged spells in PvP will be treated according to the situation. If you abuse a bug, then expect to be banned for at least a week. If we find that someone was already baned (in history) for using the same bugged spell we will ban him for 2 months, after this, if he is found using it again it will be 2months and delevel -2 lvl.

If someone abuses a spell from the list on you, then remember to post a screenshot of the combatlog too.

Grul's Lair is closed due to crashes of server.

• Gundrak (Normal and Heroic Mode)
• Halls of Lightning ( Normal and Heroic Mode )
• Azjol Nerub (Normal & Heroic)
• Utgarde Keep (Normal and Heroic Mode) - Line of Sight is disabled !
• Utgarde Pinnacle (Normal Mode only)

Arena Points

These will be awarded to players every Sunday at approx 20:00 server time

Chatting with GMs

When a GM wants to chat with you, this message and dialog shows up:

Warning: GMs will NEVER ask you for your password! Never tell your password to anybody.

Bugs reporting

• If you have found some bug(s), first thing you should do is to ensure that it is really a bug. For example you think that some quest drop is missing and that you find that you are looting wrong creature.
• Then you can write to bug channel or forum. This channel was created only for this purpose, so please do not use it for normal chatting.
• When writing to bug channel try to be brief but exact. Use rather single words than sentences. If you are skilled enough to suggest some solution you can add your suggestion.
• For example good bug report messages are:
  broken quest: - missing drop item from
  or
  broken warlock spell: - quick description
• Bad bug report is:
  GM plz help me i have problem with quest, pls help.
• You don't have to append your name to a message - it is done automatically.
• If you see that someone has reported a bug incorrectly, you can write a simple answer to the bug channel. For example if someone has posted a bug which has already been fixed or never existed, you can post something like :
  quest: works - you killed wrong mob
• Thanks for bug reports and be patient. We will add log of this channel to our site soon.

Guidelines for writing emails

• If you wish to contact us outside the realm, you can use email admin.spermikseznam.cz for it. If you find irrepressible need to do so, please keep in mind, that Admins are busy and cant answer you immediately (sometimes it could take more than a week).
• To ease answering process add one of the following keywords to the beginning of email subject:
  • ACCOUNT - for problems with account (e.g. password reset requests)
  • CHARACTER - for problems with characters (e.g. char looks like a cube)
  • DBFIX - emails with sql patches for DB (! not fix requests !)
  • CODEFIX - emails with diff files containing mangos/SD2 code fixes
  • DONATION - in case you want to ask about donation
  • OTHER - low priority emails which dont meet any of previous subjects
• Any email without proper (or fake) subject prefix may not be answered, ever.
• Please pay attention to the above mentioned advice also when writing Re:ply

Please donate!

Hi people! As all of you know, running the server is not a cheap thing. If you look at the Donation Tab, you will see that our admins have invested a lot of money (my and some other GM payments are not included in that table). Now we want to ask you for your support.
