Hi people! As all of you know, running the server is not a cheap thing. If you look at the Donation Tab, you will see that our admins have invested alot of money (my payments are not included to that table). Now we want to ask you for support with that. The problem is that I don't have a job during the holidays, (I work in a school ) so I can't pay the server connectivity for 2 months.

 We now have 3 ways to donate.

• post money order
• PayPal donation

The third is the most easiest and fastest for people not from the Czech Republic.

Shoutboard BBTags

Now we have had some people asking us, how to post things on the ShoutBoard.

 - Make sure you have logged in on the website.
 - You can NOT post things on the ShoutBoard via the forums. {It will say Topic Closed or whatsoever.}
 - Take the ShoutBoard bar and go all the way to the bottom of it. You will see a small bar you can click on to write things.
(Same thing with the gold in your inventory =P)

• Patch to version 1.15.2
• Add Spermik Gateway to your Starcraft.
  You can use Battle.net Gateway Editor for Windows or Mac to add it.

"How to install World of Warcraft" cookbook

1. First download and install the original World of Warcraft client. You can choose enUS or enGB. Remember well what version you chose! This is very important for future patches and updates.
   If you already have installed WoW, jump to Step 2.

2. Download and install World of Warcraft : The Burning Crusade client upgrade. You have to download right version, otherwise it won't work.

3. Last step is to install patches. Don't forget to download right version! We are on version 2.4.3 now! So, you don't have to keep this "patch scheme", you can directly download the newest patch(2.4.3) if available.
   Go to this site or this
   Then download 2.x.x -> 2.4.0 patch (~280 MB)
   Then download 2.4.0 -> 2.4.1 patch (~6 MB)
   Then download 2.4.1 -> 2.4.2 patch (~15 MB)
4. Then download 2.4.2 -> 2.4.3 patch (~28 MB)
   After download install them in the right order.
5. Set your realmlist.wtf to wow.spermik.info or you can easily use our Spermik Updater 2.0 [Screenshot]
   

How to downgrade (by TheGuitarist)

• Delete Patch-1.mpq and Patch-2.mpq files from your WoW/Data/ directory
• Delete WoW.exe from WoW root directory (Kamchak's recommendation)
• run Repair.exe from WOW root dir.
• choose RESET
• patch to required version (now 2.4.3)

General Information(temporary FAQ)

Hi people ! This is our project (started at 21.8.2007) with 3GHz CPU, 2GB RAM and a 100Mb line. We are a community interested in WoW and other MMORPG games. Our main purpose is to develop the universal MMORPG server, search for bugs and repair them.

• Supported clients: WoW:TBC 2.4.3 en(US and GB)
• Server address: wow.spermik.info
• Spoken language: English on public channels (like world) and shoutboard. Questions in other languages will not be answered.
• In game channels:
  • Main channel is world, there are some other national channels like czech.(Type /join world and press enter.)
  • Bug reporting channel is bug - Don't spam the world chat with it!
  • If you want to sell something use the trade channel, or post it at the auction straight away.

Player's codex

• The only official language on Spermik is English. So if you are reporting bugs or requesting assistance, you must use English.
• You are obliged to respect the GMs and Admins as the highest authority and to obey the resolution of a GM.
• Do not ask a GM for levels, talents, gold or for teleporting when you are too lazy to go by foot.
• You can ask GM for missing quests, missing quest items.. But not for other items, like gear and others. The major bugs have precedence
• We don't exchange and/or make a new character for new players on this server!
• Do not waste a GM`s time asking questions which can be answered by other players or found on The Internet. Like where is the nearest class trainer.
• Do not exploit bugs(!!) and if you encounter any bug yourself, report it to a GM. (use Shoutboard or Worldchat)
• Do not advertise other servers or any website.
• If you are stuck (like falling through the floor), do not JUMP !! use .start to get out of there ! If you will press 'Space button' but once, u won't be able to .start anymore!
• If you find yourself doing something, which causes crashes (like we had this problem with Hunter taming Quest), please stop doing so and report this to a GM.
• Who will disobey these rules will be punished.
  • You can be kicked from the game.
  • Your character can be punished by lowing its lvl or be deleted.
  • You can be banned - for few hours, week, month, lifetime.
• Respect each other, respect GM's and enjoy playing !

Bugs reporting

• If you have found some bug, first thing what you have to do is to ensure that it is really a bug. For example you think that some quest drop is missing and that you find that you are looting wrong creature.
• Then you can write to bug channel. This channel was created only for this purpose, so pls do not use it for normal chatting.
• When writing to bug channel try to be brief but exact. Use rather single words that sentences. If you are skilled enough to suggest some solution you can add your suggestion (like Kira ).
• For example good bug report messages are:
  broken quest: "Exact quest name" - missing drop item "exact item name" from "exact creature name"
  or
  broken warlock spell: "spell name" - quick description
• Bad bug report is:
  GM plz help me i have problem with quest, pls help.
• You don't have to append your name to a message -  it is done automatically.
• If you see that someone has reported bug bad, you can write simple answer to the bug channel. For examle someone post bug which has already been fixed or have never exists, you can post something like :
  "quest: "quest name" works - you killed bad guy ".
• Thanks for bug reports and be patient. We will add log of this channel to our site soon.

• Blue -misuse of GM power, ruining server webpage - death plague on you !
• Elexi - misuse of GM power (selling / giving items, money, leveling up)

GM's codex

• Do not exploit your power to give advantage to your friends or your normal characters.
• Acting against the rules will be punished (level(s) down, deleting account, ... )
  
• If you want to make some major change in the server, you have to have the agreement from the other GMs.
• Do not give (sell) people money, items, etc. The only exception is as rewards from broken Quests.
• You are not allowed to give (sell) any items/money to your normal chars. In special cases (e.g. broken quest) ask other GM for quest reward.
• We don't exchange and/or make a new character for people on this server!
• Your main purpose in the game should be repairing bugs such as broken quests, missing NPCs, etc. And making events.
• As a reward for events you can give people items, gold in some cases, spells, but mainly reward points (RP). No levels or XP!
  
• Rules for Reward points :
  • PvE events - up to 200 RP
  • 'duel' events - up to 50 RP for each won duel
  • competitions (race event, PvP ladder, ...) - up to 300 RP for winner
• You can easily add RewardPoints through REWARD SYSTEM here on the Spermik website. Just fill in accountID (use help form if needed), amount (also negative numbers are accepted) and reason for rewarding (e.g 'race event 2008-04-20 - winner'...)
  
• You, as GM, are trying to make some fun for the community. So if anybody does not obey your event rules, don't hesitate and banish him from the event.
